With great success 1st Challenge Chess Competition successfully completed at Mendo Café, Tushal, Boudha, Kathmandu. This event was started from 16th March 2013. General Secretary of Sherpa Association UK, Mr. Nawang Gyatsho Sherpa inaugurated the ceremony. In the same way 16 players have participated this event.
Among them Mr. Tshering Sherpa of Goli became the winner, 1st runner-up Mr. Ongchhu Sherpa from Tapting-6 and 2nd runner-up Mr. Nima Rinji Sherpa of Gora solukhumbu in the final. Retired Principle of Government School Mr. Balakaji Sherpa hand over the copper’s certificate to the winner.
